Today we met for the first time in our new building and we couldn't be more excited about it!
We're right at the top of West Linn and have the most amazing views of the river and Mt Hood!

Happy 13th Birthday Sierra!
Happy Birthday Comments
We went to Players for Sierra's party this evening. She and 5 of her friends ate pizza, played video games, and bowled. There was a little bit of drama, but that's to be expected at a 13th birthday party I guess. All in all I think she had a pretty good day.

Pumpkin patch!
It's that time of year again! We went out to Sauvie Island to the Pumpkin Patch today with Alan, Bev, Connor, and Dana...and Grandma of course! We love to get out there on the island and today did not disappoint. We rode the cow train, went on a hayride out to the pumpkin field to pick out our pumpkins, shopped in the farm store, and ran through the corn maze! It was a beautiful day so it was a little crowded but we were OK.

Welcome to Sauvie Island!

Happy Father's Day!
We had a great day today celebrating with Uncle Alan and Aunt Bev.

Yum! Fresh from Lee Farms!

Dana is such a big girl!

Swingin!

Skye at the fountain

Just the girls

Father and son checking out the lake

my sweet nephew Connor feeding the ducks

My baby brother with his little boy

Alan and his little princess

Just a look down Headlee Walkway on the way home.
What a beautiful day we had and what a joy it was to celebrate together!

Tryon Creek Field Trip
I got to go on a field trip tp Tryon Creek with Skye's class today and we had so much fun! I didn't get very many good pics because it was overcast and we were under the trees so there wasn't enough light for my dinky camera! here are a few decent ones though. Since I'm blogging this so long after the fact I will let the pics speak for themselves.

Ahoy Mateys!
Today the girls and I set off on an adventure to see the Tall Ships! We had kind of a lot of trouble getting there (a LONG story!) but when we finally did we had so much fun!
We spent the better part of an hour exploring the ships, Hawaiian Chieftain and Lady Washington. We got to go belowdecks and hang out and talk with the crew members. Skye learned how to steer the different types of ships (ask her about it!) and Sierra had a good time just watching everything.
After we saw everything there was to see on the Tall Ships, we went in to the Rose Festival Family Fun Center. We saw lots of animatronic dinos and Skye dug for fossils, then we watched some dancers on the World Rhythm stage. Sierra found a beautiful parasol to buy and then my little daredevil decided she wanted to go on the slingshot. Sierra and I cheered her on as she jumped higher and higher! They tried hula-hooping with giant hoops and then posed for rockstar pics! By the time we got to Uncle Alan and Aunt Bev's barbecue we were worn out!
